18-Wheeler Accident Near Saraland Closes I-65 for Over Three Hours
On Wednesday, December 12th, a multi-vehicle accident involving three automobiles and an 18-wheeler occurred on the northbound lanes of I-65, just south of exit 13 at Highway 158.
According to Saraland police, the accident involved a diesel fuel spill that required a Hazmat team. The accident took Saraland police over three hours to clear before the roadway could be reopened. While there was no report on the extent of the injuries of the parties involved, no fatalities were reported.
Pedestrian Killed in Southern Mobile County Accident Identified
In a tragic accident on Argyle Road near Three Mile Road in Mobile County, a pedestrian was hit by a 2006 Honda Accord as he walked north on Argyle Road.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and was identified by police as 29-year-old Joshua E. Dodge of Irvington.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency investigated the deadly accident and reported that the driver stopped and remained at the scene.
Wrong Way Driver Accident on I-10 EB Results in Critical Injuries
A driver suffered serious injuries and was in critical condition after an accident on Interstate 10 eastbound near Theodore Dawes Road.
According to Alabama State Troopers, “The accident was caused by a wrong-way driver in an SUV on eastbound I-10 when the SUV struck an 18-wheeler head-on.”
School Bus Crash in Baldwin County Leaves Six Injured, Including Four Children
A school bus accident closed down Highway 90 near Granite Blvd. in Robertsdale, WKRG News 5 reported.
An SUV driven by 72-year-old, James Walton, rear-ended a school bus after admittedly driving “distracted and not paying attention,” stated Robertsdale Police. Four children were sent to the hospital with minor injuries. Mr. Walton, the driver of the SUV, was airlifted to University Hospital in Mobile, according to officials.
